Parenting Support

$140 per session

We learn to interact with the world, including how to parent, from our own parents and our own experiences. For some this can be an alarming thought! By learning how to set healthy limits and foster real connections with your kids, we can break free from generational cycles.

I offer support to parents by first exploring their own pasts and identifying their strengths and growing edges as a parent. We then will work collaboratively to create a plan for structure and connection in the home then troubleshoot and adapt as necessary.

Parenting sessions start off weekly then decrease to biweekly or monthly as appropriate.

Family Sessions

$175 per session

Occasionally it is necessary to bring several or all members of the family together to work through difficulties or conflict in the home. Family sessions give an opportunity for each family member to communicate their perspective in an environment where they will feel heard and validated while also granting the same consideration to other family members.

These sessions are often in addition to individual adolescent or parenting sessions. Clinicians outside of Rocky Top Counseling may also be asked to consult or participate in family sessions.
